8mm Playtest Armies

Accompanying Notes

Much like my 3mm armies, these forces are put together specifically to playtest a set of rules I’m developing. The miniatures are from KMFP Designs excellent Orbital Knights line. They are chunkier than the Epic models I’ve painted in the past, and the larger surfaces allowed me to practice shading. I’m just getting into shading with different colours – red shade for the blue team, and blue shade for the green team. The visual effect this provides is much more interesting than simply shading with darker variations of the base colour. I’ll add new units from the Orbital Knights range over time – I already have my eye on the Assault Speeder.
