The Solar Auxilia Command units, such as the Legate Commander and Tactical Command, are essential for any Auxilia force due to the Chain of Command special rule. They project an important Command Range aura, which is required for most Solar Auxilia units to receive any Order other than a basic Advance. Beyond simply issuing orders, Command units also feature the Inspire special rule, allowing nearby friendly units to use their higher Morale value when taking checks. Therefore, effective use of these commanders is critical, as keeping them alive and strategically positioned ensures the cohesion and combat effectiveness of your entire Auxilia army.
