Squat Hearthguard are elite warriors of high social status. There Heirloom guns and axes provide them with good close combat and ranged ability, and they can lead and inspire troops in battle.

Hammerhead
Tau Hammerheads are based on the Devilfish chassis, and can mount a number of powerful armaments. Railguns are long range anti-tank weapons, Ion Cannons are more effective at destroying infantry, while Twin Fusion Cannons are shorter ranged weapons that cut through the heaviest armour.
Skorcha
The Ork Skorcha is very effective against infantry at short range, and it is ideally suited to clearing out entrenched positions. With a good turn of speed, it is useful for flanking the enemy.
Warbike Outriders
Ork Warbike Outriders are fast moving units with scouting abilities. Their Twin Sawn-off Big Shootas have some short ranged use, but Outriders are better suited to getting up close and personal with their enemies.
Phantom Titan
The Phantom Titan is often overlooked but can make an excellent defensive unit that denies the enemy access to territory, especially when configured with twin Titan Pulsars. In addition, its Holofield generator mean it it has an excellent chance of surviving a battle.
Night Spinner
The Night Spinner tank is a useful addition to an Eldar army, providing indirect fire capability. They should be kept hidden from enemy view where possible, as they will be neutralised quickly after coming under fire.
Warp Spiders
Warp Spiders are extremely versatile assault orientated infantry capable of shredding formations of lower armoured troops before a shot is fired in return. A popular tactic is to emerge from Storm Serpent Webway gates and use their considerable assault range to hit unsupported or unprepared enemy targets.
Stormblade
An Imperial Guard Stormblade is a super heavy vehicle with superb all-round ability. Its Plasma Blastgun is a powerful and accurate heavy armour killer, and its secondary weaponry will keep multiple enemy units at bay.
Shadowsword
The Shadowsword super heavy tank is designed for destroying War Engines; a role which it fulfills admirably. Its Titan class Volcano Cannon can vaporise smaller War Engines with one shot.
Valkyrie
The Imperial Guard Valkyrie is a transport aircraft with excellent all-round ability. Its Multi Laser and Heavy Bolter provide anti-infantry and anti-tank capability, and Rocket Pods are one-shot weapons that cause considerable disruption to enemy lines.
