I painted up these forces to play Encounter. The miniatures are from a mixture of sources including KMFP Designs, Edge Miniatures, Wakes Emporium and Bishok. They are chunkier than the Epic models I’ve painted in the past and the larger surfaces allowed me to practice new techniques including shading with contrasting colours and, *gasp*, Vallejo Xpress paints. I wrote these wash-type paints off as “cheating” before I realised life is too short to shade everything manually!
