Striking Scorpions

Striking Scorpions are heavily armoured close combat troops who can take on foes numbering more than their own. They are durable enough to stand a good chance of surviving and assault, and are perceived to be better value than the lightly armoured Howling Banshees.

Spiritseer

A Spirit Seer leads Wraithguard units into battle. They provide initiative bonuses to their formation, as well as providing powerful close combat attacks.

Rangers

Eldar Rangers are perfect for slowing an enemy advance or protecting a more valuable friendly unit. They are cheap and can often tie up enemy units worth many times the Rangers cost.

Pathfinders

Pathfinders more powerful Eldar Rangers, deployed by the Alaitoc Craftworld.

Mounted Farseer

Saim-Hann Eldar Farseers ride into battle on Jetbikes, which only makes them more versatile on the battlefield.

Howling Banshees

Howling Banshees have the ability to hit enemy units before they have a chance to strike back. They are lightly armoured, and unless they can significantly reduce enemy numbers in the initial charge, they may not survive the assault.

Heavy Weapon Platform

Heavy Weapon platforms give Guardian formations some decent ranged firepower. They can be deployed in number to switch a Guardian formation from a largely assault orientated role, to a defensive objective guard.

Fire Dragons

Eldar Fire Dragons are excellent anti-vehicle specialists, and their Fusion Guns will melt all but the heaviest armour with ease. If an Exarch is added to an Aspect Warrior unit, it’s common to use a Fire Dragon to confer his extra attack.

Farseer

The Farseer brings valuable army-wide bonuses to an Eldar force, as well as the ability to sumon an Avatar during the course of play. For these reasons, he comes highly recommended and should be included in an army wherever possible.

Exarch

An Exarch can further increase the effectiveness of an Aspect Warrior unit. Depending on the Aspect they belong to, they are close combat or fire fight orientated. The latter are more popular, as they have more chance of surviving an engagement.
